The Human Capacity Model

We design every program to cultivate six core capacities:

Consciousness

Aware of one’s thoughts, emotions, actions, and impact

Curious

Open to learning, questioning, and understanding rather than reacting

Courageous

Able to face challenges, emotions, and uncertainty with honesty

Committed

Grounded in responsibility, effort, and long-term engagement

Connected

To oneself, to others, to community, and to the natural world

Compassionate

Able to respond with empathy, care, and respect—for self and others

The Four Rules of Design

01

Prevention > Reaction

Proactive support before crises escalate.

02

Consistency > Intensity

Regular engagement over isolated events.

03

Capacity > Dependency

Up-skilling local teachers, not replacing them.

04

Dignity > Charity

Participants are active agents, never passive beneficiaries.

How We Build It

Step 1

Evidence-based, culturally adaptive session flows.

Proactive support before crises escalate.

Step 2

Experiential Learning

Reflection and dialogue over top-down lecturing.

Step 3

Ecosystem Training

Heavy pre-investment in educator and volunteer mentoring.

Step 4

Iterative Adaptation

Continuous on-ground feedback to refine and transfer ownership.

Impact Beyond Measurement

Social Emotional Learning often creates changes that are deeply human and not always immediately visible.

We combine Structured Data, Classroom Observation, and Continuous Feedback to understand how our programs influence Children, Teachers, and Classroom Environments.

How We Measure Impact

1

Assess

Baseline & endline assessments measure changes in students’ social-emotional skills using validated tools.

Observe

Classroom observations evaluate facilitation quality, classroom culture, and student engagement.

2

3

Listen

Feedback from teachers, volunteers, and students helps us understand real classroom experiences.

Analyse

Attendance data, surveys, and observation insights are reviewed by the program team.

4

5

Improve

Programs, training, and resources are refined based on insights from the field.

Key Impact Indicators

Stories of Change

These are small sentences, but they represent large internal shifts.

“My father drinks and used to beat us sometimes. Earlier, I felt angry and scared. But after these sessions, I understand him and talk to him about overcoming the addiction. I don’t hate him now — I just want to study well and make him proud one day. I also taught my sister the trick Didi taught me — to let go of bad thoughts. Now I feel I can help my family too.”

"I am performing in our school's Annual Day, and I was terrified of going on stage. I kept thinking about what would happen if I messed up. After our session about confidence, I learned that it is okay to make mistakes. I don't feel that stage fear anymore; I'm just excited to go up there and do my best!"

"I love when Didi & Bhaiya comes to our class, I do not want them to lean!"

"The most meaningful part of my volunteering journey was interacting with children and helping them learn through activities. Seeing their confidence grow made the experience very inspiring for me. I gained communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. This experience also helped me become more confident and responsible"

"It’s amazing how quickly children open up when learning feels safe and fun. Once the class felt comfortable, even the quietest students participated confidently. It reminded me that education isn't just about teaching content—it’s about creating an environment where children feel heard, encouraged, and unafraid to make mistakes."

"The biggest takeaway for the children was 'confidence.' We discussed how to look at challenges from a positive angle, and it was amazing to see them apply it. After our session, one boy decided to tackle his difficulties in math head-on, and a girl overcame her stage fright for the annual day, no longer afraid of making mistakes."
